Great Escapes Yacht Charters is offering Individual crewing opportunities for the world renown Cork Week racing regatta based in Crosshaven, Ireland. As well as some very competitive racing during the day the regatta offers some of the best evening entertainment, with parties going on to the small hours.

The regatta village is only open to Regatta Crew and has a good cross section of Bands from Local Irish Music to Rock and Big Band. The Royal Cork Yacht Club is open to participants and serves a great glass of Murphy’s the local stout.

Cork Week Sailing Individual Crew Places.

Be part of our Cork Week racing team aboard Great Escape our well proven Jeanneau 52.2. Sailing experience is not necessary as we will ensure a good balance of experience on the boat. Our Professional Skipper and mate will ensure that all crew are encouraged to take an active part in racing the boat.

You may wish to undertake some race training prior to the event. The cost for the week is £1000 which includes Race Entry fees, a berth aboard for the week, berthing at Crosshaven, entry pass to the regatta village, and use of wet weather gear. Soft drinks and packed lunches whilst racing.

Delivery to and from Ireland:

Some crew may wish to get a feel for the boat before joining on the regatta. This is an excellent opportunity to clock up some sea miles and experience crossing one of the busiest shipping lanes in Europe.

As a crew member on the delivery you can:

  • Improve your experience as a crew member on board.

  • Experience night sailing.

  • Practice your navigation skills coupled with long distance passage planning.

  • Gain a greater knowledge of the boat.

Food is provided at sea, you will need to bring sleeping bag and warm clothing. Wet weather gear is available on board.

Hamble to Cork: 6th July – 9th July. £250 per head. No experience required but all crew are requested to take their turn with cooking. No flight costs included.

Cork to Hamble: 16th July – 20th July. £250 per head.

All delivery paces are subject to availability. Complete package price £1395 per head.
