Caribbean Race Charters 2011

RORC Caribbean 600 Race – Race starts 22nd Feb 2011

This new long distance race was first sailed in 2009. Leopard set the monohull course record at 44hrs 5mins and 14seconds for the 600mile race. For Great Escape the race will take approx 5 days.

Last year we competed but frustrating light winds resulted in only 7 boats completing the race.

Great Escape will race with 10 crew.

Individual Places are available.

Price £1500 per person incl Professional Skipper, Food taken on board, Race entry. The charter allows for three practice days before the start.


Heineken - St Maarten Regatta - 3rd to 6th Mar 2011

Great Escape is racing at this World renowned Caribbean Regatta. With some 200 boats entered for 2010 St Maarten offers an interesting mix of French and Dutch influence. Direct flights from Holland and France and just a short hop from Antigua the main UK hub for BA and Virgin the regatta offers some sparkling trade wind racing.



Individual and group Crew Spaces available.

Price £1000 per person for 7 day charter Commencing 1st March 2010 including the regatta. incl. Professional Skipper, Race entry, berth aboard and food whilst racing. Excludes Flights/Transfers and Personal Insurance.


BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival - 28th March to 3rd April 2011


Sailed from Nanny Cay Marina in Tortola, courses are set around the beautiful Drakes Sound. Races are a mixture of round the cans and around the islands with 100 boats competing in 2010 this is a not to be missed regatta.

Individuals or group spaces are available.

Price £1000 per person for 7 day charter to include practice days before the regatta. incl. Professional Skipper, Race entry, berth aboard and food whilst racing. Excludes Flights and Personal Insurance. A regatta village is set up at Nanny Cay where evening meals are availble at your own expense.


Antigua Sailing Week 24th – 29th April 2011

Now one of the premier sailing regattas in the world, Antigua Sailing Week welcomes participants from all corners of the globe each year competing for the chance to win this prestigious event. Six challenging days of racing in some of the best sailing conditions in the world combined with the famous Antiguan hospitality make this a regatta not to miss.



Great Escape will be racing at this event and will be berthed in Nelsons Dockyard.

Individual and group Spaces are available.

Price £1100 per person for 10 day charter to include practice days before the regatta. incl. Professional Skipper, Race entry, berth aboard and food whilst racing. Excludes Flights and Personal Insurance. A full Evening Itinerary of Restaurants will be arranged for Crew Dinners. These will be at your own expense.
