British Virgin Islands
These Islands are ideal for those new to sailing with short passages between islands
and gentle sea breezes creating the perfect vacation setting. The islands are famous for
scuba diving with abundant marine life.
Leeward Islands - Including Anguilla, St. Martin, Antigua, Guadeloupe and Dominica
The Leeward Islands offer glorious cruising among their diverse islands. They allow
good scope for most crews. Steady easterly trade winds of 10 - 25 knots provide
excellent sailing and allow passages north or south along the chain of islands.
The Grenadines - Including Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenada
The only way to explore these Islands is by sea. The Volcanic Island of St Vincent soars
3000ft above the turquoise sea. To the south lies a chain of 50 islands offering beautiful
white sand beaches and idyllic anchorage. Conditions are perfect for sailing with a
steady Northeast trade wind blowing regularly. St Vincent is the most convenient port to
join the boat if this area is your preference. St Vincent and the Grenadines form one
country so there are no customs clearance issues to worry about.
